King’s Cross stands as London’s gateway into Europe, connected by train to Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam and beyond. As a microcosm, what can this area and its recent regeneration tell us about business growth and innovation, now and into the future?

Google’s new ‘landscraper’ regional headquarters is open, soon to be joined by Facebook’s regional HQ. The area is booming, economically, culturally and socially. It’s become a focal point for innovation in the UK.

It wasn’t always this way. In the 1980s, the area was best known for its red light district and for the horrendous and tragic fire that claimed 31 lives in 1987.
